The Documents Window in SAM’s Asset Module serves as a centralised library, allowing users to efficiently upload, organise, and manage a wide range of file types related to their assets. With appropriate profile permissions, users can access and share these documents across the organisation, ensuring that the most current and accurate information is always available.

Accessing the Documents Window

To add a document, navigate to the Documents section within the Asset module. Click on the Documents menu option to open the documents popup window.

Importing a Document

  1. Click the Import button.
  2. A pop-up window will appear.
  3. Browse your computer to locate the appropriate document.
  4. Once selected, click Save to upload the document into SAM.

Adding a Description

After importing the document, you can enter a brief description to facilitate easy identification and reference.

Saving to the Database

Once saved, the document will be securely stored in SAM’s database and listed within the Documents Window for the associated asset.
