User Defined Fields

The User-Defined Fields (UDFs) feature in SAM’s Assets Module offers exceptional flexibility and customisation, allowing businesses to tailor asset management processes to their specific operational needs. These fields empower administrators to create custom data points that align with unique asset tracking requirements, ensuring that every critical detail is accurately captured and readily accessible within asset records.

Customising UDFs

To maintain consistency and data integrity, changes to UDFs can only be made by administrators. If specific information is crucial for tracking and managing assets, administrators can seamlessly add the required fields through the administration module, ensuring all relevant data is efficiently recorded.

Populating UDFs

To populate User-Defined Fields within an asset record:

  1. Select the specific asset from the Assets List.
  2. Navigate to the UDFs menu option and select it.
  3. When the popup window appears, fill in all the necessary fields with relevant asset data.
  4. Click Save to securely store the additional details as part of the asset record.

Key Benefits of UDFs in the Assets Module

  • Enhanced Customisation: Adapt the asset management process to align with your organisation’s unique operational requirements.
