The Discounts window enables you to configure quantity break discounts for a product, allowing for automatic price adjustments based on the volume purchased. For example:

• A purchase of 10 items can be set to apply a 2% discount.
• A purchase of 50 items can apply a 3% discount, and so on.

Setting Up Discounts by Category

The system also allows discounts to be configured by category:

1. Use the Category dropdown to select the desired product category.
2. Define the quantity break discounts for the selected category.
3. Save your settings to apply the configuration.

Key Notes:

• If the Category field is set to “None,” quantity break discounts will only apply when this product is used in a sales order.
• If a category is selected, the quantity break discount will also appear on the price list associated with that category.

Price List Integration

Once category-based discounts are set up:

• The product will be included in the price list.
• If the price list is assigned to a customer, they will receive both the category discount and the applicable quantity break discount.

This functionality ensures seamless integration of discounts into your pricing strategy, enhancing customer satisfaction while streamlining the sales process.
